MEET WSC WESTLAKE UNIT MEMBER DENNIS KUCLER…

Background

Dennis is a native of northeast Ohio and has lived in

Westlake since 1979. He attended Northwestern and

Columbia Universities and served our nation in the

U.S. Army in Vietnam. Dennis retired in 2011 after

spending 43 years in the field of global technology

sales and sales management. He has two grown sons,

one of which  lives in the Westshore area, and six

grandchildren.

Recreation

Dennis spends his retirement serving the community. He demonstrates his volunteer spirit by

teaching at the Great Lakes Science Center, working with the Greater Cleveland Sports

Commission, serving at the Westside Catholic Center, and through Educurious student mentoring.

He also enjoys golf, reading, and networking with associates.

History with the Westshore Regional CERT

Dennis has been a member of the WSC for two years and now serves not only as the Westlake Unit

Planning Deputy, but also as a member of the Advisory Committee. He also participates on the

county level with the Cuyahoga CERT Association. In addition to on-going team training, Dennis

Criterion and Responsibilities guidelines. He feels participating in the many team activities has

provided many personal benefits.

Future Goals

Dennis is working toward certification as a CERT instructor and to expand his leadership role in

order to help the team grow in capacity and capability. He would also like to improve and develop

his first aid skills.

Thank you, Dennis, for your considerable contributions to the WSC and to

the Greater Cleveland community, especially your honorable service in the

U.S. Army. We salute you!
